Does
your Word 2000 document print "page 1 of 1" and "page
2 of 2".., instead of "page 1 of 5"....? Microsoft
realizes that this is a bug and does offer a patch (Service Release
1/1a), but there are three things you can try to fix it quickly.
- Go
to the File menu, choose Print and in the print range box type
the exact number of pages, 1-5, for example.
- If
that does not work, try turning off the show/hide button.
- If
that also fails, try turning off background printing by selecting
Tools, Options, Print tab, and clearing the background printing
check box.
